1. About us
This website is operated by Lonese Jacobs Physiotherapy, a physiotherapy practice based in Table View, Cape Town, South Africa. References to “we”, “us”, or “our” refer to the practice and the registered physiotherapist/s associated with it.
2. Medical disclaimer
All content on this website is provided for general information only and does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
You should not rely on website content as a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. Always seek medical advice from your doctor or physiotherapist regarding any condition.
3. Eligibility for treatment
By booking an appointment, you confirm that:
- The information you provide is accurate and complete.
- You are over 18, or a parent or legal guardian is booking on behalf of a minor.
- You will disclose all relevant medical history before treatment.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment where clinically appropriate.
4. Appointments and bookings
Appointments can be made via our website booking form.
A booking is only confirmed once you receive confirmation from our practice.
We aim to run on time. While not often the case, delays may occur due to emergencies or complex cases. We appreciate your understanding.
5. Cancellations and missed appointments
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee. This may be up to the full session rate.
Repeated missed appointments may result in refusal of future bookings.
6. Fees and payment
Fees are payable at the time of treatment unless otherwise agreed.
We accept payment via card, EFT on the premises.
If you are claiming from medical aid:
- You remain responsible for any shortfalls.
- Authorisation is your responsibility unless explicitly handled by us.
Fees are subject to change. Updated pricing will be communicated in advance.
7. Medical aid and third party claims
We may submit claims to medical aids on your behalf where supported. Submission does not guarantee payment.
You remain liable for any unpaid amounts, rejected claims, or co-payments.
For injury-on-duty, road accident fund, or other third party claims, payment terms may differ and must be agreed in writing.
8. Treatment and consent
By attending an appointment, you consent to assessment and treatment by our registered physiotherapist.
Treatment may include manual therapy, exercise therapy, dry needling, electrotherapy, or other clinically appropriate techniques.
You have the right to:
- Ask questions at any time.
- Decline or stop treatment.
- Request a chaperone where appropriate.
9. Risks and outcomes
Physiotherapy is generally safe but carries some risks. These may include temporary soreness, bruising, fatigue, or symptom flare-ups.
We do not guarantee outcomes. Recovery depends on factors such as diagnosis, compliance with treatment, and individual health conditions.
